GRAND JUNCTION, COLORADO
About GJHSA
The Grand Junction Horse Show Association is proudly based in Grand Junction on Colorado's stunning Western Slope, where breathtaking mountain views and wide-open spaces create the perfect backdrop for our equine community.
We are an inclusive, all-breed open show association that warmly welcomes riders and horses of every type, breed, size, and discipline. Whether you're competing with a seasoned show horse or bringing a beloved family pony, everyone is encouraged to join us and participate.
Our shows feature a diverse range of classes designed for all skill levels—from beginners and youth riders taking their first steps in the arena to experienced competitors showcasing advanced skills. We offer something for everyone, fostering growth, confidence, and enjoyment at every stage.
At the heart of our association is a commitment to the values that make our sport special. We are dedicated to promoting:
Showmanship — Honing the art of presenting and performing with your equine partner to highlight poise, preparation, and partnership.
Horsemanship — Emphasizing exceptional care, respect, and understanding of our horses as true partners in every endeavor.
Sportsmanship — Encouraging fair play, generosity, mutual respect, and positive encouragement among all participants, competitors, and spectators.
Through our events—held at welcoming venues like the Mesa County Fairgrounds—we aim to build a supportive, family-friendly environment where riders can learn, compete, and celebrate the joy of horses together. Join us and become part of a thriving Western Slope equestrian community!
